Why 1843?
Because Ada was a geek long before it was cool.

Ada Lovelace

1843 is the year Ada Byron Lovelace wrote some of the earliest computer algorithms, and she is credited for having the vision to see the complex tasks that an analytical machine could perform. We at 1843 celebrate her vision and seek to find modern-day visionaries building wildly successful companies.

The Analytical Engine weaves algebraic patterns just as the Jacquard loom weaves flowers and leaves.
